Projects

As a means of promotion and support ongoing projects must be active and available to keep awareness levels up, as well as motivation. Obviously promoting AFE members will be an ongoing project. We can do this via press presence and legitimate press releases, internally produced events such as art festivals, promotional competitions, regular public announcements and activities, presence enhancing projects which also support and promote the individual artist. All a part of networking, now just brought to a larger platform therefore with more opportunities. As always AFE will also be member driven so member input on all areas is crucial.

Faces Project: A multi-media project to put a face on Inequality. That may be from a specific community or a more broad all inclusive approach. This project will bring film arts, music arts, literary arts, visual arts, and performance arts together to create the end result. The created projects will be utilized via appropriate resources to create awareness for the Equality Net and AFE programs as well as draw attention to areas where a lack of equality is an issue.

Building Bridges Project: A direct community project to interface with various aspects of community to identify people as part of community, while demonstrating that a common ground approach to problems will create resolution. Possible methods would be art show or art festival formats to create awareness for the project and participating artists. Community building projects such as participating or initiating a; "Coats" program for those in need, "Special Contacts" program to reach out to those abandoned, "Love Recycled" program to reinstate toys, household items, daily needs items for distribution where needed. These are just examples of possible programs.

Umbrella Project: Ultimate goal would be to increase numbers of those people who support Equal Human Rights for all humanity. Achieving the goal through outreach programs like speaker / artist bureaus, Art Festivals, Social and educational seminars, and social networking.

Competitions

We decided to go with competition rather than contest for obvious reasons. As this will be a member driven site, it seemed that as much content as possible should demonstrate the talent of our members. So we will hold competitions for needed art. This will enable us to promote the artists, and the selected artwork. During the competition all entries will be displayed for all visitors. Entries will be displayed with artists name, art name, brief artist description, and contact points for the artist. Voting will be done by AFE members only.

Artwork selected through competitions will become licensed to Artists For Equality for use with regard to AFE. However, all such art will remain property of  the artist. Additional entries for all competitions will remain the property of the artist. Only AFE members may submit art for any AFE competition.
