Art, building bridges
to bring equal |
This site is dedicated to the artists networking side of Artists For Equality. To access the public side of Artists For Equality visit here.
Artists For Equality is an end result of years of activism and community involvement. As an activist in various areas, it became more clear to me that we could solve many problems by simply seeing that Human Equality should be interchangeable with Human Rights. For it is in that same definition we seem to set standards of fairness and equality. I do not leave behind my passions to join here, but instead bring them to a larger table of discussion. Thus expanding the focus, the reach, participation and interaction. - Len Rogers, Founder
Artists For Equality is a support group for Equality Net, and a promotional group for member artists. Our goals are in support and agreement to facilitate social change on issues of Human Equality in Human Rights. We believe that "social" change can best be brought about through interaction, education, and example. My previous activism has taught that the voice of "ART" is a positive voice. Artists For Equality will look to speak with that voice through member artists. There will be two distinct websites; Artists For Equality dot com - the public site, and Artists For Equality dot net - the artist member site.
The dot com website will be a public website and will ultimately feature; samples of member art, a directory of member artists, a directory of members non-artists, a member calendar of events, art support features, a member driven award program, and other content that would mutually support artist members and Equality Net.
The dot net website will be a private to members only activity area. From this website AFE members will be able to access and utilize services of the public site. Such as post events to the calendar, submit art, conduct involvement and support projects, and participate in AFE events. One such event suggested is a series of AFE supported tours with corporate sponsorship. These tours would be organized through the dot net site and promoted via the AFE dot com website and affiliates.
We will not accept submissions of any art which promote any form of abuse, hate, prejudice, and discrimination. Due to hosting restrictions, availability of services, and restriction by local laws A.F.E. will not be in a position to accept sexually explicit/pornographic material.
